The question
Expectations of research organisations are changing. Producing knowledge remains essential, but contributing to transformation also raises questions about partnerships, legitimacy, funding and institutional capabilities.
The work
Research develops four organisational prototypes to explore possible configurations, their capabilities and trade-offs. These are analytical propositions, not claims that particular institutional reforms have been implemented or proven effective.
